The Victoria Town Council and the Victoria Planning Commission will hold a joint public hearing on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at 7:00 PM in the Victoria Municipal Building, 1809 Main Street, Victoria, VA 23974.
The public hearing will be held to seek public input on the following:
Dedication of town-owned property to open space
- An ordinance authorizing the dedication of certain town-owned property identified as Tax Map Numbers 021-01-0-1a; 012-02-0-12a; and 012-02-0-16a as open space Proposed Modest Creek Open Space Ordinance
Amendments to the following zoning ordinances:
- Chapter 34 – Zoning, Article IV – District Standards, Division 1 – R-1 Residential District, Sec. 34-82 – Permitted Uses, Sec. 34-83 – Site development standards, Sec. 34-84 – Single Family Dwelling and Manufactured Housing Design Standards, and Sec. 34-85 – Manufactured Housing Compliance Proposed R-1 Ordinance Changes

Conditional Use Permit
- An application for issuance of a conditional use permit for property located at 2196 Poorhouse Road, Victoria, VA 23974. The application has been submitted by Ashley Garrett to operate a home-based embroidery and engraving at this location.
Rezoning
- A rezoning request to change zoning from Residential 1 (R-1) to Residential 2 (R-2) in the area of town bounded on the east by the Victoria Town limits; on the north by Mecklenburg Avenue; on the west by Court Street; and on the south by the Victoria Town limits to W. 6th Street, then following W. 6th Street back to the northern property lines of Tax Parcels PRN 4249, 4244, and 4243; excluding Tax Parcels 033A5-01-62C-3, 033A5-01-62C-4, 033A5-01-62C-5, 033A5-01-62C-6, and 033A5-01-62C-7 which are presently zoned commercial.
